St. George’s Anglican Church Servers Guild Policies

1.    All acolytes will be required to be available to serve at both the
9:00 and 11:00 services on Sunday mornings as well as special services such
as Christmas Eve, Holy Week services, etc.  Service to God is about doing
what is needed rather than what is convenient. 

2.    We will have a sign-in sheet located in the youth room for you to sign
in when you arrive.  That way we know you are here and ready to serve.  You must sign in at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the service.  If you are late you will be replaced and it will be counted as an unexcused absence.

3.    If you are unable to make a scheduled service you will be responsible
for finding your own replacement and informing Father Eric.   

4.    If there is a last minute emergency (e.g. you wake up sick) you will
need to contact Father Eric to let him know you will not be at church. 

5.    If you miss three scheduled services without providing a substitute
you will be removed from the schedule for the remainder of the year.  You
can reapply for admission to the acolyte guild the following September. 

6.   All acolytes must wear appropriate dress shoes while serving.  Brown or black are appropriate colors. 

-  Nice sandals are allowed for girls

-  The following types of footwear will not be allowed:

1. Flip flops
2. Sneakers/athletic shoes
3. Casual sandals

      - If you do not have appropriate footwear when you come to church you will not be allowed to serve and it will count as an unexcused absence
