Joshua and Laura Hiatt

Joshua Hiatt

Josh studied at CU and earned a BA in the field of History and graduated with distinction. Unlike many students of history who simply enjoy studying history for the interesting biographies, stories, and events, Josh’s main guiding principle for studying history was to unlock the origins of human conflict. As his studies progressed he became engrossed in the study of ideology. Under the mentorship and tutelage of Alan Crippen and his generous load of coursework at the John Jay Institute Fellowship Josh continued his quest for answers and refined what he had already learned. Now with a more fully developed understanding of ideology and worldview Josh is eager to pass on that knowledge to Saint Georges’ precollege aged parishioners with the hope that it will strengthen their Christian worldviews and enable them to think critically about all the ideological ideas that they will encounter upon entering their respective collegiate careers.

Laura Hiatt

Laura studied at CSU and earned a degree in Economics but has a strong interest in the field of worldview. She was classically educated from an early age and is well versed in ideological concepts, philosophers and histories and has an instinctual talent for applying and understanding these ideas as they relate to current events. Laura feels a strong calling in the field of classical Christian education and is delighted to be able to serve by guiding the high school group to a strong understanding of what it means to be a Christian Conservative both in thought and in action.
